Phil the Cat

Phil was adopted as a kitten in 2019.. From the start, Phil was fearless and drawn to action. From learning to open doors and sneaking outside to climbing bookshelves, Phil was always exploring and it was clear he was destined for more. Thankfully, his mom works as the Senior Director of Training at Dogs Inc and had the perfect role for him!   Phil began spending his weekdays at Dogs Inc, helping dogs in training learn how to appropriately interact with cats. He absolutely loves and thrives in this role and enjoys exploring the Training Center, getting pats from instructors, monitoring what everyone is doing at all times, curling up for a nap in a cozy office or his cat tree, and meeting the new dogs in training. He is the perfect kitty for this role, as he loves spending time with the dogs and teaching them how to respect cats. He does not mind when they sniff him and is not afraid to hold his ground if any try to chase him.    Phil loves all kinds of food, particularly Crunchy Os, and is quick to snag a treat if one happens to drop within his reach. Whenever he is hungry, he does not hesitate to let the closest human know with his loud meows. Phil is the coolest cat around and while he loves his lazy weekends at home, he thrives during work hours as the resident cat at Dogs Inc.
The Official Dog Food of Dogs Inc

We are proud to partner with Dogs Inc to provide quality dog food for working guide dogs and service dogs at no cost to the handlers.

Guide dogs, service dogs, and skilled companion dogs provide freedom, confidence, and hope for people who cannot see, for veterans who have seen too much, and for children facing significant challenges.

Dogs Inc transforms lives by creating and nurturing extraordinary partnerships between people and dogs. Their organization operates the most advanced training facilities of any service dog organization in the world. Their experts breed, raise, and train elite working dogs—including guide dogs, service dogs, and skilled companion dogs—and provide life-changing services for people with vision loss, veterans with disabilities, and children with significant challenges such as vision loss or the loss of a parent in the military. Pursuing their mission since 1982, Dogs Inc now has over 1,200 dogs under their auspices.

All of their services—which include selective breeding and expert dog training; comprehensive on-campus student instruction; and the most robust alumni support program in North America—are provided at no cost to recipients. They rely 100% on private donations and receive no government funding. Dogs Inc has the distinction of being dually accredited by the two premier, global accreditation bodies: the International Guide Dog Federation and Assistance Dogs International.
